Ronchetti Wins SLC Free Flow!

etnies UK rider and current British Vert Champion Paul-Luc Ronchetti competed last week along with over 50 of the best amateur action sports athletes at the Free Flow Tour finals in Salt Lake City. These are the Official Amateur Series of the AST Dew Tour and Paul-Luc held his own and came away with the win in the Skate Vert final. Sitting alongside the Dew Tour, this amateur series is all about "Flow to Pro", with Paul-Luc now taking the wild card spot to compete against the pros at the final stop of the AST Dew Tour, the PlayStation Pro®, in Orlando, Fla.
Paul-Luc is only 15 years old and has been riding for etnies for 2 years, so it's gonna be a big jump up for him, but so far this talented vert rider has taken everything in stride.

etnies For Uganda!
Posted by: Alex | Monday, September 8, 2008The Uganda Skateboard Union battles boredom by placing skateboards into the idle hands of its eager youth. The USU provides a fun, positive, healthy outlet in the form of skateparks, organized competitions and all the gear they can find... enter etnies.
Upon receiving one hefty and very customs-troubling donation, the Uganda Skateboard Union sent us a letter of appreciation along with pics and an update:
"The kids are so happy and they were managed to wear new shoes to participated in the first competition in Uganda and every one was so happy to get a new shoes, parents were so happy too and many people came to witness the competition.
"Big members like the member of parliament, managed to come to watch the competition and the Assistant Commissioner of sports in Uganda attended it. so every one was so greet see such a game.
"Those are some of the photo when the kids get their new shoes and having a happy small. I would like again to thank you, the money on our A/C, which we shall use during the expanding the skate park."

Fellow skateboarder and friend, Van Wastell, has moved on to another realm... hopefully a happier one with far less skate stoppers, security guards, wars and whatnot.
We will miss you, brother. You will not be forgotten. Our sincerest condolences to Van's friends, family, sponsors and all who are effected by this horrible loss.
