Kyle likes doing g-turns

Sad to say, but last Saturday was the final stop of the etnies/Active Hot Dogs & Hessians tour. Held in 120-degree weather at the Fontana skatepark in the midst of thunderstorms, fires, heat, water balloon fights and swarms of ice cream trucks, this stop may have been the gnarliest of all.

I wonder if anyone actually got a matching set of Ronnie's old wheels?

There was a bowl contest and a handrail best trick contest. Kids threw down. Cash and free shit was given to the winners. Arto, Elissa, Kyle and Ronnie were in the house skating around and signing for the fans. Ronnie decided to clean out his garage recently and showed up in Fontana with a box full of wheels and a stack of about 50 or so decks to give away. People were stoked!

Police lurked by but didn't say a word, the product toss off the top of the RV was sick and as the sun set, we headed back to the etnies headquarters in Lake Forest, enjoying the air conditioning in the RV and sad that the weekend was over. See you next year! Thanks to Active and all who came out to make this happen!

Ronnie is never really serious

So we rolled up to the San Dimas skatepark on Saturday with the Active crew for the second etnies Hot Dogs & Hessians stop. So much to tell. If you were there, you know. If you weren't, well then, you missed Arto, Elissa, Ronnie, Kyle, Perkins and all the Active crew and locals skating their little butts off. You also missed your chance to get them to sign your stuff, play S.K.A.T.E. against them, skate the park with them, eat free hot dogs, look at cute chicks, enter the best trick contest and win free stuff. Wow, that sure is a lot of fun huh? And you were probably sittin' home playin' on MySpace or something right?

No but for real, the park was fun, the skating was great, the launch ramp sesh back at the shop was a blast. Then we all gathered 'round for the premiere of TransWorld's new flick, A Time To Shine. And lemme tell you, the vid is buttery. Get it when you can. thanks to everyone who came out, See you next time!

Arto is a beast!

Autographs rule!

Yesterday was the first of a three-stop Hot Dogs & Hessians mission with etnies and Active. There was skateboarding, launch ramps, hesh hops, contests, skating rocks, the etnies RV, free food, free product, Dwindle ice cream trucks, hot chicks, flatbars, tons of pros, autograph signings with Arto, Elissa, Leeper and Perkins, fun and sun! Did I mention free etnies stuff? Did I mention Arto kickflip grabbing about 67 feet out of the launch ramp?

This is an etnies RV product toss feeding frenzy!

We are heading to the San Dimas skatepark in about an hour for stop number two. Then to Active San Dimas for the TransWorld premiere of A Time to Shine. Get there if you can and stay tuned for updates, tons of photos, video and maybe a podcast or two. That's right, we have podcasts now! Whoot! In the meantime, check out this mini gallery

It's all "Stereo Skateboards" as Jason lee swings through the studio to be questioned by guest host Chris Pastras. Jason talks to us about the early days with Blind and how that experience lead to the birth of Stereo. Jason goes off the cuff with his humorous thoughts hear about music and just about anything else you could imagine. The show also gets a secondary dose of comedy from red carpet correspondent Jordan Morris as he tries to get the attention of Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom and other stars at the Pirates of the Caribbean Red Carpet Premiere. Plus, a special in studio performance by "The People Under the Stairs." This is an episode not to be missed.

Huge props go to Rune for taking first place at the Mystic Cup in Prague over the weekend! Yeah Rune!

Further congrats to Ronnie Creager for taking third place in street and Bastien Salabanzi for taking fifth.

More importantly than his fifth place finish, Bastien took first place in Best Trick with his nosegrind to backlip down the rail.
